Sonic and Mario Olympic game really good ...

Wow, I had like no interest in this game other than a passive rental from Gamefly. But wow, this game really works. Most of the events just make sense in how motion controls are applied. Most of them are not extremely simple either as expected or like in Wii sports. There's always a element that adds a little skill. Like in swimming, when doing the swiming motion (of which there are like six or seven styles) you have to press the B button to refill your stamina at just the right time. Just a small example. The only thing I did not care for was Table Tennis, it felt sluggish and bored me just to get to 11 points.I love fencing, the Wiimote responds well and it's like a great game of paper rock scissors when you thrust forward for the hit or thrust for the block/parry. Anyways, I really like this game. I'm going to try to get the family together this weekend and see if it interests them. All in all a surprisingly good game definitely worth a rental, and light years beyond Wii Sports in terms of variety. The dream running game is also like a MArio Kart, powerups and everything, except your running instead of Karts. Sonic and Mario Olympic game really good ...

I agree. I very much enjoyed the game.

SEGA has been one of the best third-party publishers around in terms of Wii games. Monkey Ball and Secret Rings are two of the highest-scoring third party Wii games, Mario and Sonic is solid, and Bleach and Alien Synrdome are good for a rental at least (I don't even like the show, but Bleach Wii was pretty fun).

And they've got games like NiGHTS and Ghost Squad coming.

Other developers should be following the lead of SEGA and Capcom.

Cool. I was thinking about renting it, then i saw the GS score and saw the IGN score.. and i got confused. Anyway, i think i will give it a rent.
I have the game and I enjoy it. But i think it is the dumbest concept for a game ever thought of. I mean a 50 meter dash between a fat italian against an animal that breaks the sound barrier.

ROFL! Good point, but, it's MARIO! He can do anything. Also, I never quite figured out how Eggman is ''SKILL''
Yea im going to rent it from GameFly too it looks really fun
I really like playing Mario Party games when I first rent/buy them, but they die out quickly once the game is essentially mastered. Does this game have staying power? Do you think you'll enjoy playing it over and over?
I'm pretty sure this game will last you a longer time because there are World Records and your constantly trying to beat them. Also, there are emblems which you get by doing special things in the game say winning 15-0 in fencing. On top of the world records in the game, you can go check out real peoples records from around the world and you can try to get first in those lists which isn't the easiest thing.
