Can anyone actually go back and stand to ...

TOPIC, and yes, it is on the VC so don't tell me that this needs to go to the Nintendo 64 forums. (IF they even have 1)Can anyone actually go back and stand to ...
Uh....yeah, I think so.Can anyone actually go back and stand to ...
Hell yeah, I played it for about an hour yesterday. It never seems to get old for me, it's held up very well. I'm actually quite pleased with how well the Classic Conroller handles the game. I only just downloaded it two days ago and still having fun with it. Been playing that game since it launched in '96. It's still one of the best.
Yes because it still looks clean today. That's like asking if anyone can go back and play Pac Man or Super Mario Bros.Yes, yes they can.
It's a great game, but it's better on my N64 than my friend's VC
It's a great game, but it's better on my N64 than my friend's VC
That's impossible unless you like faded and washed out colors. The N64 games are the only games that get a facelift on the Virtual Console. That means everything is honed to look it's very best with Nintendo's truest interpretation on the updated version. But then again some people like their old albums because they like the background noise
Yeah, the game looks much cleaner. It's sharper, brighter and more colorful than I remember. I just wish I had those 3D glasses that came with my N64 back when it was first released. :)
Absolutely yes, i spend like an hour yesterday trying to get the 100 coins star in the last scene, Bowser in the Sky, pretty hard you know.
Yeah I downloaded it and beat it awhile ago due to boredem. It's still a really good game. Oh and guys I get where your coming from, but there is no point in complaining about the graphics of games 2 generations ago.
Yes, I downloaded it two days ago and have about 40ish stars. It's still a blast to play.
I did for the first time after playing Sunshine and thought it was awesome, but it sadly a different story playing OoT. After playing Wind Waker, I popped in my OoT preorder disc to play OoT for the first time and ewwww. I couldn't stand to play it for more than a couple of hours. The graphics were blurry and the controls were clunky. It did not age well imo.
Yeah, I've got it on my DS and my N64, I thought it was a classic. How come you dont like it?
The game has aged quite well compared to other N64/PSX games probably due to the clean simple look of it. The VC version does help. I hooked up my wii and my n64 to my plasma tv and there was a huge difference. The N64 version is horribly blurry. I can see why some people wouldn't be able to play it though. You should try the DS version, they redid a lot of textures and put in a new mario character model(plus added extra characters, stars, and powerups). The only downside is that you have to control it with a D-Pad though.
Yes, I fired up my N64 to play it again after all this SMG hype. And it really still holds up well. Plus I get a kick out of mario saying ''ookey Dokey''
I never played it on the original 64 because I didn't own one. Playing it on the VC though, I'd have to say that the game is pretty damn awesome.
Yes I can, being one of the best platformers ever made.
I don't have it on VC or N64 but I do have it on Ds and it is one of the best games I have ever played. Better than Oot IMO which I have on VC.
sure. great game.. the camera is not that great and the graphics suck,, but the game is pretty good.. played it to death though.also on DS..
Any time. I've got it for my N64 and NDS, great game no matter how old it is. Just the other day I fired up Castlevania 2 and passed it, might not be as good as the very first Castlevania, but it's a great game though. While playing it though, I realized just how weird some of the NPCs in the towns were, things along ''Take my daughter'' ''I'll meet you at .... at midnight'' and many other somewhat sexual innuendos.
It wouldn't be nearly as mind-blowing as it was back in '96, but I'd still have no problem playing it!
