A higher rating doesn't make it a better game, or even more appealing to older generations... unless your a tool and only like games that were designed specifically for 18 years of existance.
if by ''M'' rating you mean the game will be darker and bring some of the finer points of good story telling to the front, yes. im all for Link being in a actual epic story.
If they did it I'd have no complaints, but if they didn't do it I could really care less. All's well just the way it is!
A rating doesn't make a game. A game makes a game. Who cares what it's rated, ratings are only there for parents to know what games are appropriate for their children. Now I will agree that some blood in a Zelda game would spice it up a little bit but a Mario game rated M would just be insane and stupid. An M rated Metroid game wouldn't bother me though.
