It's like people don't want Wii to succe ...

ok here's the deal, first of all i want to throw this at the devs (including nintendo) themselves, MAKE SOME QUALITY TITLES PLEASE!!!!! we've been over the ''lets see if it's a success'' stage, so where are the quality titles?oh wait there they are!!...... where are they? oh right, for some reason good games like MP3, BWii and zack and wiki have NO advertisment, that just sucks, plain and simple.now on to the public, i won't go far, i would use this site as an example, take naruto for instance, according to IGN, it's the best Wii fighter yet, but according to GS....... oh wait it's not rated yet? ok that's fine but wait... the X360 version is rated, while the Wii version, that came out a week before isn't? how come?you're probably wondering why i made this thread right? well i went to THREE different stores, and NONE of them even knew what zack and wiki was... HOW COME?!?!?!?!!! why is this steller game being overlooked? this is madness, i came home excpecting a great game and ended up with.... nothing :(ok end rant.It's like people don't want Wii to succe ...
It is kinda odd that you can hardly find a Wii in any store but yet game magz like (the one gamestop supports) i cant remeber the name and Im subscribe to it. Anyway they say the wii technology wont last long and its gonna be a short lived console, but I love it the xbox has way better game no doubt but there are some good games on the Wii. Also the only thing the Wii is missing is a DVD drive and HD graphics I dont understand how you can make a console in this day of age without HD graphics, but its still a wonderful underrated system that needs some good games. GIVE US GOOD GAMES!! (besides Mario)It's like people don't want Wii to succe ...

If you want a great game then get Super Mario Galaxy, it's being shipped in three days. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is out now and that's also a good game.
Zack and Wiki isn't a big title. It's the Wii's Katamari Damacy right now.Most don't even know it's made and most will never play it the first time around. Hopefully it catches on and more people pick it up on their second or third trip and they make another.

Everyone likes to see a great hero fall. In this case, the wii is the great hero of this gen.

Just because they don't advertise as much as Sony or Microsoft doesn't make them failures. If they don't advertise and they still blow the charts away, it's better than advertising and doing the same thing.
You're absolutely right! You hear so many people saying it will die out and a list of things it needs especially Quality games. If the list continues to be quality games that you could count with your finger and then an ABSURD amount of party games people will get turned off. I mean Mario andMetroid are awesome and all but we've had to wait for TOO long to get our hands on Final Fantasy Crystle Chronicles CB and No More Heroes, resident Evil, etc. etc. But I'm sure that in the long run alot of mouths will be SHUT!!!!
I own a wii and 360 (PS3 hop3fully soon), and I seem to play my 360 more than I do my wii because I didn't enjoy bwii at all, and MSC was good till all the cheaters started going online, so now Im starting to have second thoughts and may buy SMG, even though I hated super mario sunshine (didnt get into it). MOHH2 seems good (reviews are good) but with EA doing online kind of worries me because when I played Madden online (for the wii) I did not care for their online at all. So hopefully the wii can shape things up or because SMB3 seems to be the only good game out this month.
In the system wars board it seems all the Sony and MS fanboys love to gang up on the Wii and its fans simply because they don't have one. Its like the old bugs bunny cartoons which featured the tortoise and the hare races, meaning that the competition got blindsided when the tortoise(Wii) surpassed them. :P

If they don't advertise and they still blow the charts away, it's better than advertising and doing the same thing.[/QUOTE] well, I see where you coming from, but if they had advertised Zack %26 Wiki it would have sold at least 100,000 more copies because this game sold so bad, and yet is theBEST third party game for the Wii, and most wii owners dont even know this game exist... and the same goes with MP3 it would have sold a lot better if they had advertised it, like they did with Hevenly sword and Halo 3

(besides Mario)[/QUOTE]480p is HD graphics...all you need are the component cables and you are running in HD...just not the high resolution 1080p of say a PS3....I personally think that adding a hard rive would open up so many doors. That is the key to opening up 1)DLC 2)patches 3)demos.I love my Wii, and I know that a lot of other people love theirs...but there isalso a group of people that are quite resistant to theWii, thinking it is a fad,or a gimmick. So I dont think that people necessarily want the Wii to fail...its just that those certain people think it will...which is a shame.

You just proved one of the points though. 'Great' %26 'Fantasic' %26 'outstanding' rarely are coupled with 6.0 ranking. The wii is having a hard time on most gaming sites because the Wii is not the typical gaming device. It's not a rehash console. It's not an eye candy machine. And unfortunately all the 'core' gamers have become so comfortable in their niche that they can't figure it out. So much for an 'experts' opinion.
