if there's a tev unit in the wii that makes the wii have good graphics compared to the x360 and ps3, why aren't a bunch of good games coming to thewii? WHY is it that nintendo will be the only one making ''good'' graphic games? Is it really because devs are lazy??? Do all the devs who make games for the WII KNOW about the tev unit at least??Also, the wii is my fist console since the n64, so I never had a gamecube. Did the Gamecube have the same problem competing with xbox and ps2? or were they practically the same graphics wise? Were devs also lazy with the gamecube??I really don't understand this anymore. Can someone please explain this to me??Is it possible that things will change when SMG comes out??SOOOOO if there's a TEV UNIT in the WII ...
The GC had much better graphics than the PS2. The Xbox had the best hardware. There are some games that look beautiful on the GC, made by other developers than Nintendo, and there are ugly ones. To answer your last question: I think that the Wii will see better graphics later. Mario Galaxy should set a bar of how games should look.SOOOOO if there's a TEV UNIT in the WII ...
Though a lot of third party developers worked on the GameCube, there were few who actually pushed the system (Capcom and Factor 5 are the only ones I can think of) so most ofthe ones currently working on Wiiare probably unfamiliar with the TEV unit. Because you have to program the shaders in yourself it can take quite a lot of time and money to get good results. I'm guessing most third parties aren't willing to do that just yet.

If you are comparing the two systems by who has the bigger numbers then you will be disappointed. The cube architecture is much different than that of xbox. Xbox is similar to PC and the Cube uses a powerpc. The reason why you might find more quality games on the xbox was because the developers found the xbox easier to work with because its similar to a pc. The cube is not, though its wasn't hard to program like the ps2.According to Factor5 dev Julian Eggebrech, the reason we didn't and don't see high quality visuals on the cube and wii is because developers really don't know how to achieve their desired special effects. And since they don't most will just brush it off and say the hardware isn't capable, when in fact it is. They just haven't figured it out.

[/QUOTE]because these highly paid air-heads (yes, a lot of developers are airheads who think they know a lot more than they do and wouldn't admit they don't know something in front of their peers or boss, pfft), are too proud to admit they don't know how to figure it out and ask for help.i would assume since developers buy license for SDK to develop their games, there'll be at least some support to help them achieve their graphical intentions...pfft...

But won't they make more money if they did it right?
