I know its a repetitive thread but its legitimate. When are they gonna make another Mega Man like the X days. I really havent seen anything surpass that. I think the reason being, and hardcore fanboys will get all mad, is that they refuse to go beyond the 2d sidescroller. With the free aim of the Wii mote that fast dashing and dogding is still possible while shooting in a 3d world. Otherwise Megaman will be confined to the handheld world when it could potentially be a huge hit on consoles again.Seriously be pen minded about this and realise the potential we have with a 3d Megaman game on Wii.Dont come in here if your just gonna flame me and tell me ''the formula works great with the sidescrolling'' because they have used it up dry. Megaman would have a much brighter future if its creators were more open to change. It would be really nice if they made a M ...
I would like to see another Megaman Legends, with Megaman in a 1st/3rd person veiw like RE4.It would be really nice if they made a M ...
They could do a third person shooter but not like most of you are thinking. it would still be true to the Megaman action but with more depth. Its not like a hide a shoot shooter obviously and they can desgn the environment of the game to be like a true megaman.
http://kotaku.com/gaming/capcom/inafune-on-mystery-wii-title-230163.phpthis shows that they are working on something
no one cares about Megaman?
MEGAMAN WII! HIGH FIVE!
how can take him seriously when ever year angame comes out
I just said if they were to do a real 3d game it would be the rehash side scroller that is clearly dried out.
I wouldn't mind a 3d Megaman game
I suppose a 3rd person shooter would be nice.It would have to be very well implemented to be any good, though. Great camera, customizable controls, intelligent motion sensing, etc.
As with Sonic, I'd like to see a new Megaman 3D adventure that was actually worth talking about. I used to love that series but over the years, lost interest in it especially after it got into this battle network, dragon force, ZX2 whatever crap.As third party developers go for the Wii, Capcom really gets it. They not only gave us a port actually worth buy (RE4) but also had a criticial hit with Zack and Wiki (which you all should buy if you haven't). I like the idea of a third person shooter but go back to the classic style Megaman, the blue bomber who defeats enemies and takes their powers. Use a similar controls scheme like with RE4. Get back to classic run and jump gameplay because there just aren't enough platformers around. I'd also like to see Rush the robo dog return and be Megaman's helper, you know letting him jump higher or morph into a jet or turn into a submarine to help liven up the gameplay.Megaman is one of these series that many feel lost it's luster but mostly we're just waiting for a really good game that will restore our faith in the series as with Sonic.
So you mean kind of like megaman legends except better graphics and a cool control scheme. Hey, nice idea, let's hope it will happen.
I'm comfortable with the 2ds, but a 3d megaman combined with the wii aiming would be a welcome spin-off
that would be so fun ^-^ even more fun if they had an extension like the wii zapper so it goes around ur hand

ya except a good game unlike legends. Not a spin off, this is supposed to take the series in the 3d direction.
some of the reasons why they have not done a megaman game in full 3d that is atually worth talking about is because: 1. fanboys 2. the consoles at the time time dual analog is way to slow, if you see every third person shooter like RE4 and Gears it has to in someway compensate for the aiming. Megaman is the type of game style were you have to constanly dodge and go under enemies while still shooting the enemy and it works perfect on a 2d panel. The new aiming abilities of the Wiimote completely change this. If BWii actually did not have autoaiming and a realistic shooting it would be a good example.3. Capcom knows its alot cheaper to make 2d games and it was working, now though life is different and the market is forcing them to adapt. They just have to make sure to not make it an all out shooter like Gears of war and make it a true megaman game while being 3d.
